PEOPLE OF ACTION
Rotary offers opportunities for our members β and those interested in making a difference β to get involved. Through meetings, volunteer projects, and social events, members learn about issues facing our community and communities all over the world, partnering with local, national, and global experts to exchange ideas about potential solutions, draw up action plans to respond, and create lasting, sustainable results. Along with these opportunities to serve, members also are able to regularly network, resulting in lifelong friendships and business connections.
For over 100 years, our club has been a proud part of this community and Rotary International, a global network of more than 1.4 million members who believe that great things happen when dedicated minds come together.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Solving real problems takes effort, commitment, and vision. Rotarians work to protect communities from preventable disease, keep women and children healthy, improve education and economic outcomes, create safe water and sanitation infrastructure, and make the world a more peaceful place.
We are working with various partners on many projects, including:
Providing grants to local non-profits β 10 or more organizations each year
Providing scholarships to graduating high school students
Planting 100 trees in West Chester this year
Helping provide prosthetic limbs to African children
Ringing holiday bells for the Salvation Army
Providing dictionaries to 2nd grade students
Providing school supplies to local students
Partnering with the Gates Foundation, WHO and UNICEF to end polio worldwide
Funding the Hands Across the Sea reading project in the Eastern Caribbean
Volunteering at the Community Warehouse Project
