While West Chester Rotarians and the West Chester University Friars service club have service projects going on often, you can ALWAYS find Rotarian Jeannie McGinn (5th from right) and Warehouse Director Glenda Brion (5th from left)  at the Community Warehouse Project site the third Saturday of every month! On a recent Saturday, they were joined by Rotarian Mac Neilon (far let), along with nearly a dozen members of the Friars. The third Saturday is always busy with generous supporters dropping off donations, needy families and individuals picking up items, and a diverse group of volunteers helping Glenda and Jeannie in multiple ways.

This particular Saturday, the Friars turned out an especially sizable group of volunteers, including one who is now a graduate student! Through this relationship of many years,  a number of Friars have continued service by becoming Rotarians after they graduated from WCU, such as Matt Holliday, Rob Malone and Bill Christman. Don Kohler was named an honorary Friar in 2014, and the late WCU coach and West Chester Mayor Dick Yoder was a Friar as an undergraduate in the 50's! What a legacy of service these young men have established with Rotary, helping out with the Chili Cook-off and other Rotary projects, in addition to helping at the Community Warehouse! Like Matt, Rob, Bill, and Don, they continue providing service and leadership in many ways in the greater community. Welcome and thanks to the Friars, and to ALL who volunteer at the Community Warehouse project. When you join Jeannie and Glenda for about half a day on a third Saturday, you find yourself among friendly volunteers, make new friends, perhaps recruit a new Rotarian or two, and provide a valuable service to an important community organization.
