Jeff Spencer, chair of the Fun and Fellowship Committee, and committee members Joanne Tadeo, Rachel Barakat, Phyllis Dunn, and Patty Jefferis planned the gala holiday party for our club this year. Held at the West Chester Golf and Country Club in the early evening, it was highly decorated by the country club, which lent itself to our holiday gala. Delicious hot hors d' oeuvres were passed by the waiters, and welcomed by Rotarians and their guests to go along with beverages from the bar. A cheese board, dinner, and a luscious hot apple and vanilla ice cream dessert rounded out the tasty food.Suzette Webb did a phenomenal job capturing lots of attendees in great photos, like the one of Bill Friedmann, Mickey and Bob Hall. President Rich Murray took the microphone briefly to comment on what a great time everyone was having, and how important it is to hold fellowship events, in addition to all the service projects we do together in the community and elsewhere.
"Awesome!" he said when he saw Suzette's photos, and we think you will agree. We were lucky to catch this talented Rotarian in a photo with Jeff Cantwell, a frequent club photographer himself.
Over 50 people attended the gathering, and many said this was one of the best parties we've had. As always, Rotarians in our club enjoy opportunities for fun and fellowship together, although at this time of year, it is challenging to find an open date for our party. Thus, a number of Rotarians were missing due to business holiday gatherings.
