In keeping with the District 7450 Celebration of 30 Years of Women in Rotary, and Rotary International's observance, the Rotary Club of West Chester joined in the commemoration at last week's meeting by presenting a rose to each Rotary woman in attendance. In addition, President Mickey Hall gave a brief history of the struggle for women to join Rotary, finally succeeding in 1987-88, due to the perseverance of a Rotary Club in Duarte, CA. There are over 130 members in the West Chester club; over 50 are women. Six of the women have served as club president.
