February 6, 2010 - The Rotary Club of West Chester's "Taste of Florida" Fruit Sale this year will benefit Camp Geronimo for children with disabilities at The Barn at Spring Brook Farm. February 6 - Two local charities will be the beneficiaries of the "Taste of Florida" Fruit Sale sponsored by the Rotary Club of West Chester. November 12 - Recognized by the Rotary Club of West Chester as Outstanding Students in October are (from left) Kirsten Seagers, Jessica Beck and Michael Roulhac from East High School, and Rowan Subasinghe and Jane Best from Henderson High School. Students are selected for their academic, community and leadership skills. October 23, Bill Gotwals is presented a certificate by District 7450 Governor Al Marland (right) honoring Bill's 66 years of perfect attendance. A week after Bill received this recognition, he was extended birthday wishes on his 94th birthday by club members. Bill sets an example for longevity and service above self to Rotary and his community! August 21, 2009 - Rotary Grants Awarded - Matt Bradley, Chairman of the Community Philanthropic Committee, introduced representatives of organizations to whom spring donations were given on behalf of the club. August 21, 2009 - Bill Ronayne (right), owner of Brandywine Valley Heating and Air Conditioning, was recently named Rotarian of the Year by the Rotary Club of West Chester and presented a plaque by the outgoing club President Steve Karp. July 7, 2009 - Laura Baker and Alan Clark have been named Honorary Rotarians for 2009 by the Rotary Club of West Chester. June 17, 2009 - Rotary Club of West Chester President Steve Karp (left) and Scholarship Chair Linda Hicks (right) congratulate Megan Sanders of Henderson High School and Robert Joseph (Bobby) Briglia of Bishop Shanahan High School on each winning $2,500 college scholarships for Excellence in Community Service. Megan will attend the University of Pittsburgh and Bobby will attend Penn State University. April 20, 2009 - Viral Patel of India, Anna Malinowska of Poland, and Anne Okelo of Kenya (from left), all students at West Chester University, are introduced by Lloyd Roach and Ed Malet at the International Student Picnic hosted by the Rotary Club of West Chester. April 20, 2009 - Outstanding high school students for April recently honored by the Rotary Club of West Chester April 16, 2009 - The Rotary Club of West Chester awards $15,000 annually in grants to area charitable programs through its Community Philanthropic Committee (CPC). The grants are awarded twice each year, in December and June. Deadline for the second round of grants for 2008-09 is coming up. Applicants must have their applications in by May 15th.
